We seek Jesus first. We are here to serve Him and the community we are in. We find a lot of joy and hope in this task. You might say that it's what we're made for.

Rome Presbyterian is an historic church, founded in 1864 but through the years we have been reshaped, remolded and reformed. In 2004 we became part of ECO (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) where we have found a tribe that encourages, challenges and partners with us for ministry. It has changed our personality from being "the frozen chosen" to a congregation of people who are learning to live fully into who God is calling them to be. It's been an exciting journey so far, and we're just getting started!

We want more. More of Jesus leading, Spirit filling, God honoring. We are open and welcoming to new people and guess what! You don't have to think exactly like us! We want to become the place where people feel comfortable to wrestle with their faith. To be a space in which people can work out what they believe to be true about God and learn to articulate their faith. We believe in the certainty of the truth we read in the Bible, but if you're struggling with that, we invite you to come struggle along with us. We definitely don't claim to have it 100% right!

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Rome Pres. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the RPC family.
